First Day of School: Take 3

There was a severe thunderstorm Saturday night and strong winds knocked out power, phone and Internet service in several parts of town. As it happens, school was scheduled to begin on Monday, but it had to be postponed until Wednesday due to the lack of power at area schools. This was probably the first (and hopefully the last time) two make up days were accumulated before school even began! 


Last week we spent a lot of time at the school. We played on the playground, went to orientation, Kamp Kindergarten and a Back to School Party. Even still, Bryce was feeling nervous over the weekend. Thankfully, by the time the big day (FINALLY) came, he was ready. He walked into his classroom and said goodbye without even shedding a tear! I managed to hold back the tears as well. I was so excited for him going to big school! Here are a few photos we took yesterday morning. 

While Bryce was at school, Jenna and took the opportunity to have a lunch date at Zoe's Kitchen and go shopping at Bed Bath & Beyond. We both enjoyed the special time together. Later that afternoon, Bryce was happy to tell me about his day. He was especially impressed by the cafeteria, gym glass, the playground and his Spanish lesson. I think it's going to be a fun year for him!
